Artist’s Profile – Arts Gowanus

Artist Statement: Ana is a multidisciplinary designer that creates to explore the world. Her background in Industrial Design and Urban Studies puts her work at the intersection of community-building and creative problem-solving. As a designer, she aims to create work that provokes its audience to question the norms of our society. As an artist, she creates work that expresses her own emotions more fully than she can express in a journal. Her medium ranges from sculptures to installations and visual art. For Open Arts Gowanus, she will be presenting parts of her series Breaking Silence and some products she’s been developing.
