- This summer, Arts Gowanus collaborated with ArtBridge to facilitate the installation of seven murals throughout the neighborhood. These pieces were created by Gowanus-based artists as part of City Canvas, an initiative of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and sponsored by development companies Charney, Domain, and Tavros. Artists of Brooklyn was created by Emily Chiavelli and Johnny Thornton.
