Artist Statement
I draw with a sewing machine mostly on ironed packing tissue. My process is driven not only by an urge to create, modified by the impulse to not add to the inventory of stuff in the world (I use only supplies I've had on hand for years) but ASMR. Yes, manipulating and sewing and ironing crinkly tissue paper is deeply delightful. As always I honor the fact that my dirtbag minimalism is inspired by the late Eva Hesse.
