Artist Statement: Art is alchemy. To create is to change. My drawings begin with a center and an outer boundary, emerging through an accumulation of marks made without hesitation or revision. Working primarily in pen and ink, I use repetition, rhythm, and algorithmic intuition to build biomorphic forms that swarm, expand, contract, and vibrate. The permanence of ink binds choice to action and keeps me present with what is unfolding. Patterns emerge that echo structures across scales: cells and molecules, crystals and plant forms, branching roots and vascular systems, nests, hives and animal architectures, labyrinths, constellations, and repeating structures of the universe.
