- Artist Statement
- My practice is rooted in the search for emotional and spiritual meaning through creating. Viewers are invited to contemplate this tension between order and chaos within the context of their own lives. The grid is a central metaphor in my work. This structural device, shaped through precise hand-cutting or meticulous painting, draws upon my background in graphic design. Utilizing paper, paint, and gold leaf, I articulate the tension between perfection and process. My work invites viewers to consider how experiences, patterns, and beliefs shape their inner lives. In articulating these tensions, I offer a visual space where contemplation, grounding, and renewal coexist.
