- To me taking photos keeps my artist eye open to the possibilities of capturing a moment in the environment and being delighted by light, color, and a potential composition. My recent work is inspired by reflections and shadows. The theme of entanglement is also being explored inspired by observing the remains the forest floor in New Mexico of burnt trees, washed up trees on the beaches of Costa Rica and the way vines and roots of trees intertwine. By recomposing the photos into patterns new imagery emerges.
