Artist Statement
Over the past decades of art practice, my creative research has focused on interdisciplinary engagement with sequential prints & drawings and animation. As a printmaker, creating images on various surfaces has always been my primary interest in my art practice. In recent years, I have experimented with sequential prints and time-based elements on the screen, exploring a sense of invisible and non-historic everydayness and its repetitive movement. During the pandemic, I began to increase my social engagement with my BIPOC communities through my art practice. Throughout my current body of works such as “Passersby Series”, “Collapsed”, and “Smoke Series”, I am exploring the intricate interplay between unprecedented disasters and the diverse range of perspectives surrounding them.
