- Welcome to Gowanus! The Gowanus neighborhood has long been my muse. The work shown here is Gowanus inspired, from back when it was nothing but three story houses mixed in with low post-industrial buildings silhouetted by an expansive sky. *Sigh*. This work reflects the hybrid, gritty, fascinating narrative that life around the Gowanus canal represents. As times have changed so has my work. I am showing a painting from the 80’s, sculpture from the 00's, along with some of my more recent mixed media collage work. The thread of my muse runs deep, as I explore body, mind and spirit surviving a changing world.
