Artist Statement: I work sculpturally on the floor loom, weaving hybrid vegetal forms. I hand-spin and dye processed tracing paper into tactile, handmade yarn, which I then weave and transform into three-dimensional sculptures. My work brings mythic plant imagery and early agrarian views of plants as animate beings into dialogue with contemporary understandings of vegetal sentience. My woven pieces evoke organic growth and gravitational shifts, creating a space where human perception is reoriented toward the intertwined and cyclical intelligence of plant life.
