- Artist Statement
- Lauren is a mixed media, interdisciplinary artist curious about the architecture of consciousness and its relationship to time. Looking both inward and outward simultaneously, she studies emotional time through color, light, and language. Through two ongoing projects, "Color Translations” and “Architecture of Memory,” her practice captures interactions between her emotional and physical environments in sensory time. “Color Translations” explores Lauren’s inner world documenting personal experiences with perceptual phenomena like synaesthesia. “Archimem” explores her outer environments highlighting sensory perceptions within the context of nature.
