- While I am basically a writer, painting watercolors has become very important to me. As a writer, I often have to think too much. Here I can be more intuitive, instinctual. It is all about the paper, the pigment and the water. I love water and I love the flow. It is very freeing for me. Painting has become an important part of my artistic process.
