- Artmaking offers me an opportunity to engage in a curious, playful and sometimes ridiculously exuberant exploration of color and light, mark and form, texture and contour expressed in materiality of painting and sculpture. The color and patterns that find shape in my paintings are made through a mindful exploration and response to the moment to moment experience of my internal landscape. Following this invisible thread sometimes reveals symbols or natural forms that morph as in the narrative of the subconscious dream.
