- Founded by Ryan Kahen, Kahen Design is a Brooklyn-based design practice driven by the principles of architecture, the built environment and exploration. Utilizing fundamental building materials, Kahen Design creates handmade objects and furniture that experiment with and push the boundaries of both materiality and design methodologies. Simple, beautiful, and functional, Kahen Design’s mission is to make objects that are used everyday and displayed within the home, elevating the user’s aesthetics and rituals. All pieces are made in Brooklyn, NY using modern manufacturing and traditional craft—a hybrid of digital and analog.
