- Artist Statement
- As an artist, I work in series. Currently, I am exploring ideas, methods, and materials to completely remove my hand from my work. I have turned to my collections (audio cassettes, vinyl records / albums, magazines, crossword puzzles, dry transfer sheets, etc...) for form and medium. Crosswords is an ongoing series and my longest running. There are roughly 130 completed works thus far. The crossword puzzles have been taken from the New York Times the day a mass shooting or school shooting has happened. Themes found within my work often deal with anonymity, authorship, surrogates/copies, loss, gun violence (mass / school shootings), memory, and sentimentality.
