- Artist Statement
- A painting can arrive in an afternoon or after years, but it tends to happen all at once, in an instant. I am influenced by art history, theology, advertising, trash on the side of the road, video games, poems, things I feel. I am looking for some strange and unnameable mix of abstraction and representation that can be grasped intuitively. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Visual and Critical Studies and an MFA in Fine Arts. Since 2022, I am faculty at the School of Visual Arts in the department of Visual and Critical Studies and Art History.
