Artist Statement: My work merges staged photography, surreal still life, and self-portraiture to explore the interconnectedness of image and object, and of body and psyche, across photographic and sculptural forms. I construct and stage precarious assemblages from found and discarded materials that evoke, surround, or obscure the body. Through photographing, dismantling, and reconstructing these scenes, I create works where material presence and photographic illusion reshape one another. These psychological landscapes address vulnerability, femininity, fragility, and my ongoing negotiation of belonging, adaptation, and displacement.
