- Arts Gowanus Gallery is pleased to present Oc.cu.pied:, an exhibition that brings together eight contemporary female artists who explore, challenge, and disrupt issues of identity and the self in relation to space— whether it is a political or social space, urban spaces, or site-specific landscapes. These artists, in their cultural context, shift the viewer’s perception and understanding of the world around them with thought-provoking visual work. This exhibition is curated by Yvena Despagne, Arts Gowanus Associate Curator.
