- Artist Statement
- I am a Brooklyn cartoonist, journalist, and alcohol enthusiast, and my best work combines all three aspects of my life. For 10 years, I drew the comic strip “Bar Scrawl” for the Brooklyn Paper, drawing cartoon reviews of watering holes in Kings County, and I am currently working on a series of mini comics about cocktail history. My goal is to use the tools of comics - exaggeration, simplification, word balloons, and sequential images - to tell the stories behind the bottles.
