Artist Statement: Since the 1980s, I have explored the intersection of art and technology through large-scale robotic sculptures, installations, and performances. My studio is currently at the Judgy Baby building in Gowanus, where I am developing Organic Machine, a site-specific installation for the first floor of this emerging cultural center. Rooted in Gowanus’s industrial history and the building’s former life as a woodworking shop, Organic Machine transforms the space into a living mechanical environment. Through movement, sound, and repurposed materials, the installation transforms the space into a living mechanical environment that bridges the site's past and future.
