TI Art Studios / 183 Lorraine Street
TI Art Studios, Studio #88, Third Floor, 183 Lorraine St., Brooklyn, NY 11231. The outside door to the art studio complex is on Lorraine Street between Court and Clinton Streets. You will see a blue awning and a ramp. Come inside and enter the elevator that’s immediately there. Head up to the third floor. You’ll have to walk all the way across the art studio complex to studio #88 to reach me, but this means you get to walk through Sweet Lorraine Gallery and see the big group art exhibit that will be up during open studios, which is on the theme of The Sun!

- This year, I’m very excited to share a vibrant mix: a lot of original oil and watercolor paintings, plus be able to offer affordable handmade block prints, high-quality archival signed fine artist prints, and fun original artist-designed merchandise such as t-shirts to visitors! I will also have ten of the wildly popular, bestselling framed "Mighty Cockroach" mini prints for sale on a first come, first-served basis. I really look forward to seeing everyone again this year! PLEASE NOTE: 13 of my oil paintings will also be on exhibition as part of Gowanus Open Studios in the show "Astral Works" with artists Doug Padgett and Earth Ængel, curated by Pam Wong, at Judgy Baby, 170 2nd Ave., 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11215.(This is a new venue opening in full in 2027, located at 2nd Ave. and 13th St. in Gowanus) This exhibition will be on display Oct. 17 - Nov. 22, 2026. I'm also thrilled to share that my artwork is currently on exhibit and for sale in Times Square, at the Times Square Hilton Hotel Sky Lobby at 234 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036, via representation with Dinner Gallery, curated by Celine Mo. My practice is an exuberant celebration of color, buoyancy, and the sheer joy of being alive. Right now, I’m immersed in a bold body of geometric oil paintings informed by Suprematism, Synthetic Cubism, Emblematic Surrealism, graphic design history, and American quilt-making traditions, while also creating fluid graphite-and-watercolor works on paper and original linoleum block prints. To me, painting captures both macrocosm and microcosm, is a way to empathize with human experiences on a more universal level, and can feel like skipping down the sidewalk on the first warm day of spring. I also love exploring a variety of compelling ventures: I’m quietly drafting two top-secret illustrated books, developing work sparked by observing NASA’s DART mission (which I will share at next year's open studios!), and recently entered the delightful Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest to support habitat conservation. Next up? Concocting an unconventional entry for NYC Parks’ wild and cutthroat annual holiday wreath competition. Connecting with the local community is tremendously gratifying and fun at Gowanus Open Art Studios, particularly when it involves encouraging others to pursue their own creative dreams.
