- My practice focuses on revealing parts of nature that are traditionally overlooked and undesired, executed in a manner that allows the viewer to have an unbiased experience. I have an interest in the decomposition process, how elements in the natural world transform within various stages of life. I’m often visually seeking out details such as rotting organic matter, the texture of oyster shells, or what grows between cracks in the sidewalk. My process includes multiple stages of creation and transition. Things are broken down, recycled, repurposed, regenerated into new existences, similar to nature’s process of decomposition.
