Artist Statement: My work begins with the belief that jewelry can be more than adornment. It can hold a memory, mark a transition, or become a quiet reminder of who we are becoming. Working with gemstones, metal, and repetition, I create pieces that sit between intimate object and wearable sculpture. Each stone brings its own color, texture, history, and presence. I’m interested in the tension between the natural irregularity of the stone and the considered structure of the setting, allowing both to remain visible. The pieces are made for moments of intention: a milestone, a new beginning, a return to oneself. I think of them as small talismans, not because they promise certainty, but because they give the wearer a way to carry meaning close. Through Lady J Jewelry, I explore how an object can become part of a person’s story.
