Artist Statement: Seiko Kamosawa is a Tokyo-born, Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the threshold between the visible world and the transcendent. Through meditation, intuitive drawing, and spiritual inquiry, she generates dreamlike imagery that bridges physical and metaphysical realms. Her practice is deeply informed by seven years of living in India, where animism and spirituality became central to her visual language. Kamosawa holds MFAs from the University of Delaware and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Japan Foundation (New Delhi), Piramal Art Foundation (Mumbai), Wirwir (Berlin), Pink Noise Projects (Philadelphia), Galatea Fine Art (Boston), and Taiteilijataro Gjutars (Finland). Her upcoming solo exhibition will be at Vorder Zimmer in Brooklyn in December 2026.
