Shoshana Cooper

Artist Statement: My upcycled abstract collages are mainly made from parts of my older paintings on paper and mylar. The collages are mounted on repurposed frames and older paintings on plastic, with some collages directly mounted on frames discarded by my neighbors. They are designed to show that nothing should be rejected out of hand and beauty can be found everywhere. I start with a very broad concept of the composition, but my process is quite spontaneous.
