Artist Statement
Painting is my way of thinking aloud in pigment—an effort to make visible the moral and emotional tensions of our time. Deeply shaped by studies in philosophy, theology, art, and music, my practice bridges classical technique and contemporary urgency. After earning degrees from Vanderbilt University, I trained with Frank Mason at the Art Students League of New York, grounding my work in Dutch and Flemish methods, Impressionism, and modern developments. A working muralist and performing jazz guitarist in New York City, I create paintings that invite reflection, dialogue, and a renewed awareness of our shared human condition.
