I create poetic narratives that speak of our connections with each other and the earth. With layering my photographs of our bodies with elements from the natural world, I look to expose this intimate connection. I work with brushing palladium emulsion on handmade Japanese gampi paper. This paper has a translucency that is like our skin. Palladium has tonal qualities that reveal intricacies more fully than other photographic methods. Exposure to the sun imprints the images into the paper. In addition I will sometimes paint with Kremer pearlescent watercolor.
