- I fell in love with clay over 40 years ago and have sought refuge and inspiration in it ever since. I love the material's texture and malleability; the ability to create beauty out of dirt. I am inspired by ancient sculptures and paintings as well as people I see on the NYC subway. Each piece I create has its own personality, and like birthing a child, I often don’t know how they will develop and arrive fully formed.
