- The 4th Ave Yarn Bomb, now in its 3rd year, proclaims "CODE RED!" to call attention to the Climate Change Emergency impacting our Brooklyn community, our country and the world. Flood, fire, rising sea levels and other extreme weather can’t be ignored. Stretching over 90 feet long and 10 feet high, the colorful, eclectic Yarn Bomb panels illustrate climate change consequences by combining a variety of inventive fiber art creations that reflect both negative consequences (fire, dead birds, flooding) and the ideal of a cleaner, healthier planet (sun, flowers) with a call to action. Created by scores of community artists using new and recycled materials, the Yarn Bomb will be a daily climate crisis reminder, prominently displayed across the wide fence on the 4th Avenue border of Gowanus and Park Slope 4th Avenue, between 3rd and 4th Streets. On view until mid-November
