- The paintings in this exhibition directly relate to my “100,000 Flowers” series: A body of work I created between April 2020- January 2023. During that time I made over 350 paintings to commemorate victims of COVID-19 and to raise funds for New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. I approached the Wine Garden paintings with a different frame of mind. I hoped to make them feel a little lighter. Inspiration for these paintings comes from multiple sources. Catalogs of vintage pottery and garden magazines on eBay and Instagram make me swoon.
