- Artist Statement
- Recent work depicts nature in the city and advocates for urban green space and green infrastructure. My creative process begins in the landscape; immersing, sketching, photographing, collecting specimen, and consulting with local ecologists and naturalists. At the studio I fuse what I've gathered with sensory memory and digital imagery into compositions in oils and mixed media. I’m also using collage to repurpose older paintings into new work and using light weight materials to reduce my artistic carbon foot print.
