Artist Statement
FACT: “More women died in the last 50 years precisely because they were women than men during wars in the 20th century” *.
Reading “Half the sky” blew my mind.
At that moment, I started seeing the transformation and reaction of my pregnant friends and their bodies. The volume, shape, physical and emotional changes. The strength, resiliency, energy and beauty.
This is why I developed a way to synthesize the female body with the minimum elements, seeking to challenge the observer to discover the figure.
Showing free bodies screaming in color.
