- I started painting flowers when my father died. He loved them and so did my grandmother. I remember as a child the delight I felt as my grandmother showed me the faces in pansies. And I often worked in the garden with my dad. Flowers continue to bloom no matter what state the world is in. I painted flowers to heal myself heal and to give everyone hope. They manifest the same brilliance, myriad of colors and individuality as we do!!
